Old Pontiac classic car in parked in Havana Cuba | Wall Art
Through my lens, I captured an evocative moment in Havana, Cuba: an Old Pontiac classic car parked on a vibrant street. The city’s storied history is revealed in the architecture, characterized by a mix of Spanish colonial, Baroque, and Neoclassical influences, with a touch of Art Deco. The time-worn, pastel-colored buildings lining the street create a sense of nostalgia and a connection to a bygone era.
The Pontiac sits proudly in the frame, its gleaming chrome and polished curves reflecting the soft light from the Cuban sun. The car, a symbol of Cuba’s resilience and resourcefulness, embodies its complex relationship with its past. The city’s iconic vintage cars are remnants of pre-revolutionary America, yet they continue to breathe life into the streets, embraced by locals and tourists alike.
As the photographer and artist, I sought to convey the spirit of Havana through this fine-art photograph, showcasing the city’s and its people’s timeless beauty. The image reveals a visual symphony, harmonizing each element to create a tapestry of colors, textures, and history.
