A motorcycle parked on pavement on the streets of Barcelona, Spain
I took this photograph almost 20 years ago and still love it. The old bike looked like it belonged in the scrap yard. Its seat was barely hanging on; the front headlight cracked, and the gas tank looked like it was rolled down a hill. Yet the owner still cared enough for this vintage motorbike to lock it up.
Going along with the theme of this grunge street vehicle, I focused on the front of the motorcycle and used a very tight field of focus, effectively blurring the bike’s rear. This effect creates a great mood and blurs out any unwanted background.
