As I wandered through the historic Kilmainham Gaol in Dublin, Ireland, I was captivated by the haunting atmosphere of an old jail cell door, standing in stark contrast against the crumbling stone walls that once imprisoned its occupants. The passage of time had left its mark on the jail’s interior, and I felt compelled to capture this poignant vestige of history through my lens.
With its weathered surface and heavy metal hinges, the wooden cell door evoked a profound sense of confinement and despair.
