Nebraska’s Abandoned Motel on Route 66 Historic Relic | Wall Art
American Highway 66 (the “Mother Road”) is where an abandoned motel stands in Nebraska. Taking off from Chicago, Illinois, and ending in Santa Monica, California, U.S. Route 66 was the first major east-west highway in the United States. On 11 November 1926, construction began on a highway stretching for 2,448 miles. Although much of the original Route 66 has been taken out of use, sections have been set aside for historical purposes.
