Nighttime at a Unique Bar in Trinidad, Cuba – Monochrome Print
As the creator of this urban image, I found myself entranced by a quaint bar tucked away in Trinidad, Cuba. Tiny in size, this space sparked an artistic flair that demanded my attention, its intimacy setting it apart from the typical tourist spots. Located four hours from Havana, Trinidad is a gem of Spanish colonial history, with the sorbet-colored buildings adding a vibrant charm to its streets.
This black-and-white photograph captures an atypical scene in this colonial town. A gentleman donning a cowboy hat is stationed at the bar, his silhouette forming a striking contrast against the backdrop of vintage nostalgia, including American automobile memorabilia and currency taped to the ceiling. An old lamp casts a serene glow on one side, while a beer fridge holds the fort on the other. The darkly lit room offers an intriguing atmosphere, the shadows creating a unique interplay with the elements within the frame.
The Havana Club rum variety holds a place of honor at the bar, drawing the eye and hinting at tales untold. This isn’t just a photograph; it’s a narrative etched in monochrome, a capture of a moment in a place brimming with stories.
