Canadian winters can be cold and harsh. But they also can review beautiful scenery where one feels close to nature. I stood on a frozen lake in Northern Ontario near my studio on this cold winter day. The sun had just rose and bathed the landscape in a beautiful warm light. The birch tree glowed, and the snow-covered lake was untouched like a smooth silk sheet.
Standing in front of a magical landscape can make you feel at peace.
