This emblematic structure, bridging the districts of Karaköy and Eminönü, arches over the Golden Horn – a natural inlet off the Bosphorus strait. This bridge, built in 1994, is the fifth to carry the name Galata, serving as a symbol of the city’s longstanding spirit of cultural interchange and commerce.
A painter’s palette of oranges and purples swept across the sky, with fragments of the day’s blue making a last stand as twilight approached. The silhouette of Galata Tower, a medieval stone monument from the 14th century, punctuated the skyline, standing tall and proud, whispering tales of history and grandeur.
