Cafe tables empty in Plaza Vieja in Havana Cuba | Wall Art
Quiet Morning at Havana Plaza Vieja
As I walked through the heart of Havana’s Plaza Vieja, a sense of stillness greeted me. The early morning light cast long, gentle shadows across the empty café tables and metal chairs, highlighting an ordinary scene in a way that felt almost surreal. This photograph captures that quiet moment—when Havana hadn’t yet awakened, and the chairs stood waiting for the day’s first visitors.
With their simple metal construction, these tables and chairs tell a story of daily life in Havana that is often overlooked. In this urban image, I was struck by the contrast between the empty tables and the usually bustling environment of a Cuban café. The absence of people invites viewers to reflect on the ebb and flow of life in this historic square. It’s a reminder of the pauses we all need to take to appreciate our surroundings.
This early morning photograph in Cuba, devoid of the usual clatter of dishes and chatter of patrons, offers a different perspective on Plaza Vieja. It reminds us that beauty can be found in the calm, in the quiet moments before the world wakes up.
The photograph’s black-and-white treatment emphasizes the play of light and shadow, turning an everyday scene into a poignant moment frozen in time. It encourages us to pause and appreciate the simpler elements of life, often overlooked in our busy schedules.
In crafting this fine art image, I sought to capture a visual scene and evoke a feeling—a whisper of the early morning calm that descends briefly upon even the most lively of places.
