As I was boating up the Inner Passage on my way to photograph the spirit bears of British Columbia, I stumbled upon this captivating scene—an abandoned hotel that seemed frozen in time. The foggy morning only deepened the aura of mystery surrounding the dilapidated structure. It sits quietly in British Columbia’s Inner Passage, renowned for its ethereal landscapes.
From my sailboat, I captured the haunting beauty of the hotel’s crumbling facade, which contrasted sharply with the vibrant life of moss and small trees that had taken root on the rooftop. The numerous windows hinted at myriad untold stories, and the giant trees surrounding the building stood as stoic guardians, further enriching the scene’s eerie tranquility.
